Understanding Individual Behaviour

Individuals differ in many ways from personality type to how they process information and learn. To understand others it is necessary to understand one’s self, this course helps participants explore their own personality and behavioural style. Once we understand why we do what we do – we can start to understand the behaviour of others. This workshop will provide you with coaching skills you can use to increase your effectiveness in dealing with different personalities!

Strategic Influence

People aren’t born with influence skills. They must learn them. This workshop provides a strategic systematic approach to being more persuasive and influential. Salespeople, customer service representatives, project managers, corporate leaders, IT professionals, and others all require the use of influence to have impact within their organizations. People who have learned to successfully influence others discover that they:

• Achieve greater results in their organization.
• Work more productively and effectively in a team environment.
• Develop stronger working relationships with co-workers, suppliers, customers, and even competitors.
• Gain greater support from senior management for their projects and plans.

How to Have those Tough Conversations

“People consider the capacity for conversation to be one of the most important aspects of people’s growth throughout their life.” Peter Senge. This interactive workshop helps you to start and successfully participate in those tough conversations we all hate to be part of but need to have! Explore principles and practices that will help you engage in conversations that enrich relationships, no matter how sensitive or challenging the topic.

Managing Conflict in the Workplace

Conflict happens – and that is a good thing – really! The word "conflict," usually conjures up negative associations, such as arguments, hatred, anger, hurt feelings, distrust and more. But what is conflict and how does it impact worker performance? How employees deal with conflict is usually a direct reflection of the tone or atmosphere you set for your company. If you shy away from conflict, so will your employees. If you confront others in a negative manner, so will they. If you embrace conflict as a potentially positive engagement between individuals or groups, they will, too. Conflict is natural. It occurs in every organization. However, the process of engaging in conflict doesn't have to be negative and counterproductive. In fact, it can be positive. Learn how to make conflict work for you and your organization.

Practical Creativity

Organizations must discover ways to foster creativity, because the practical truth is that it leads to future success. Practical creativity reconciles creativity with management. The process of practical creativity provides leaders with an especially nimble problem solving technique. The goal of the process is to produce high-quality ideas that are appropriate to the task - which means groups and organizations can implement them with less risk. Based on research from the Center for Creative Leadership, this workshop will teach managers and their teams to solve problems efficiently and to manage the problem solving process by altering it to more closely align with the organization's current challenges.
